Vienna leave the train at Passau — a stopping-place of the 
Orient Express — and have himself conveyed through wonderful 
Sylvan sceneries down to Iiinz on one of the large elegant 
steamboats of ‘the Danube Steamship Company. Here in the 
pleasant town with its majestic Gothic cathedral he may stop 
and before continuing his river-trip the next day to Vienna, 
pass the beautiful Danube town Grein — a popular summer- 
resort of the Viennese — and through the magnificent vine- 
clad hills of the Wachau, make an excursion on the mountain- 
railway to the top of the famous Postlingberg. From the summit 
of this mountain he will bé afforded a magnificent view of 
entire Upper Austria and still farther: beyond its boundaries. 
In fine clear weather even the northern chain of the Tyrolean 
and Bavarian Alps as far as the Hungarian boundary may be 
beheld: Truly a spectacle, which will profoundly impress even 
the most fastidious globe-trotter, but will afford the highest 
possible satisfaction to him, who has availed himself of the 
opportunity of becoming closer acquainted with this beautiful 
country.
